DISTRIBUTION — Papua New Guinea.

DIAGNOSIS — Antenna swollen around flagellomeres 7-13; wings strongly infuscate by large dark patches; vein r emitted close to the apex of pterostigma.

DESCRIPTION (Holotype) — FEMALE: body length 4.8 mm, length of fore wing 3.9 mm. Head. Antenna with 21 flagellomeres; F1/F2 = 1.10; length of first, second and penultimate flagellomeres 5.00, 4.50 and 2.72x their width, respectively; ED/TD = 2.89; eyes glabrous; OOL:OD:POL = 7.00:3.00:3.00; frons punctate; WF/HF = 1.65; length of malar space equal to length of base of mandible; clypeus, face, gena and vertex finely punctate; WC/HC = 1.36. Mesosoma. Median lobe of mesoscutum punctate; mid-posterior area of mesoscutum large and rugulose-areolate; notauli present but weakly developed anteriorly; scutellum shiny, finely punctate, weakly convex; propodeum smooth, with short longitudinal and cross carinae, anterior areola wide with intern irregular crossed carinae; mesopleuron shiny and smooth, sparsely punctate and largely foveolate near subalar depression; precoxal sulcus present, long, punctate; HMS/LMS = 0.83. Legs. Hind coxa finely punctate laterally, smooth dorsally; LHTI/LHTA = 1.04; LPS/LHBT = 0.36. Wings. LW/LB =0.81; fore wing

LMS/LMT = 0.85; in dorsal view elongate, weakly wider posteriorly than anteriorly, WMT/LMT = 0.59; metasoma curved in lateral view; ventral keel large on apical third of metasoma, strongly sinuate apically in posterior view; metasoma weakly reticulate, longitudinally rugose on anterior three-quarter, its apical quarter finely punctate and shining; mediolongitudinal carina present medially between the two basolateral carinae. Color. Head, mesosoma, apical 0x6 of metasoma, apical half of hind coxa black; antenna from third flagellomere, all femurs, apical two-third of mid and fore tibiae, telotarsi, sternites dark brown; palp, fore coxa (except a small light brown patch), fore tibiae, base of mid and hind tibia, mid coxa, basal half of hind coxa, white; scapus, pedicel and two first flagellomeres, wing venation brownish; wings strongly infuscate by large dark patches.

ETYMOLOGY — This species is named in honor of my nephew, Florian Braet.
