Biology. Label information indicates that this species occurs in forests in Costa Rica, 1000–2050 m. Nothing else is known about its habits or biology.

Comments. This species possibly belongs to the carbonaria group, subgroup minutipalpis ( Chillcott 1961) , because of their tiny palpi and cercal plate with ventral long process. Fannia minutipalpis (Stein) , F. brevipalpis Chillcott, 1961 , F. neopolychaeta Chillcott, 1961 and F. trogonifera Chillcott, 1961 also belong to this group and are found in the Holarctic region.

Etymology. Name in apposition. The species epithet refers to the Bribri indigenous people, who once inhabited the Puntarenas province in Costa Rica.
