ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1873f: 298.

TYPE LOCALITY: “ Persia Sept. [northern Persia]” .

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, holotype ( MSNG): Persia settent.e [northern Persia], 1862–63, Coll. G. Doria / Typus / Halictosoma puella Rndn. / Halictosoma puella Rndn. 1873 , n. g., n. sp.

CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Nusa puella ( Lehr 1988: 205) View in CoL .

REMARKS: Rondani (1873f: 298) described Halictosoma puella , without specifying either the number or the sex of the specimens, but giving a single measurement of length, from material collected by G. Doria . Guiglia (1957: 195) and Raineri & Rey (1996: 29) reported the holotype (♀) in the MSNG.
