ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1875b: 179 (key), 183 (description).

TYPE LOCALITY: “ in colle agri parmensis [ Parmese hill ( Italy)]” .

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, syntype (covered with mold, missing left fore-, mid- and hind-legs) ( MZUF: Box 35): Agromyza Fall. / analis Rnd. / 1858.

CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Liriomyza analis ( Canzoneri et al. 1995: 11) ; nomen dubium in Agromyzidae ( Papp 1984b: 341, Evenhuis & Pape 2020).

REMARKS: Rondani (1875b: 183) described Agromyza analis , without specifying either the number or the sex of the specimens, but giving a single measurement of length: “ una vice tantum lecta [collected only once]”. We found one syntype in this study.
