ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1866d: 32 (key), 35 (description) [1867b: 116 (key), 119 (description)].

TYPE LOCALITY: “ in collibus agri parmensis [ Parmese hills ( Italy)]” .

TYPE MATERIAL: 2 ♂♂, 2 ♀♀, syntypes ( MZUF: Box 27): Helomyza Fall. / agaricina Rndn. , Parma / 1445 .

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Suillia lurida (Meigen, 1830) ( Gorodkov 1984b: 38) View in CoL .

REMARKS: Rondani (1866d: 35) described Helomyza agaricina , without specifying either the number or the sex of the specimens and not giving a range of lengths, publishing the species first in a separate (1866d) and then in the journal version (1867b). We found four syntypes in this study. An additional two males and one female numbered “1445” in the MZUF are not included in the type series because their labels are yellowish rather than the greenish color of Rondani’s original handwritten ones and are in a lower row in the Box, for which reason we treat them to be subsequent additions .
