ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1878a: 162.
TYPE LOCALITY: Rondani gave no type locality in his original description. “ Mexico ” (see type material) .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, syntype ( MRSN: Box 1796): Olfersia Messico (Sallé Truqui) / 622 / Olfersia obliquinervis Rnd. , Messico; 1 ♀, syntype ( MRSN: Box 1796): Olfersia Messico (Sallé Truqui) / 624.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Lynchia nigra (Perty, 1833) ( Guimarães 1968a: 6) View in CoL .
REMARKS: Rondani (1878a: 162) described Olfersia obliquinervis , from two specimens without specifying their sex: “ Specimina duo observata in Coll. Prof. Bellardi [two specimens observed in Bellardi’s collection]”. We found both syntypes in this study.
