ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1878a: 161.
TYPE LOCALITY: “ Mexico ” .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, syntype ( MSRN: Box 1796): Olfersia, Tuxpango, B. 623 / Olfersia pallidilabris Rnd. , Messico.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Lynchia nigra (Perty, 1833) View in CoL ( Bequaert 1965: 919, Guimarães 1968a: 6).
REMARKS: Rondani (1878a: 161) described Olfersia pallidilabris , from two specimens without specifying their sex: “ Exemplaria duo observavi Collectionis Bellardi [I observed two specimens in Bellardi’s collection]”. We found just one syntype in this study, the second specimen has presumably been lost.
