Diopsis lativola Rondani, 1875 View in CoL

ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1875c: 445.

TYPE LOCALITY: “ Insula Bonae Fortunae (Borneo) , Provincia Sarawak [ Bona Fortuna Island , Sarawak Province, Borneo]” ( Rondani 1875c: 421) .

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, holotype (abdomen glued to thorax) ( MSNG): Sarawak / Typus / lativola Rond. / Diopsis lativola n° 41.

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Cyrtodiopsis dalmanni ( Wiedemann,1830) ( Steyskal 1977c: 32) ; junior synonym of Teleopsis dalmanni ( Wiedemann, 1830) View in CoL , new combination.

REMARKS: Rondani (1875c: 445) described Diopsis lativola , without specifying either the number or the sex of the specimens, but giving a single measurement of length, from material collected by G. Doria and O. Beccari. Guiglia (1957: 194) and Raineri & Rey (1996: 36) reported the holotype (♀) in the MSNG. Meier & Baker (2002: 333) synonymized Cyrtodiopsis with Teleopsis but did not transfer Diopsis lativola , which Steyskal (1977c: 32) had treated as a junior synonym of Cyrtodiopsis dalmanni ( Wiedemann, 1830) ; we transfer it here and keep the synonymy, new combination.
