TYPE LOCALITY: “ in Apennini parmensis collibus [hills in the Parmese Apennines ( Italy)]” .

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, holotype ( MZUF: Box 36): Loxocera Fall. / marginata Rndn. , ♂ / 1896 / Holotypus Loxocera marginata Rond. , ♂, design. Á. Soós, 1978 / Loxocera albiseta Schrk. , det. Á. Soós, 1978.

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Loxocera albiseta (Schrank, 1803) View in CoL ( Soós 1984a: 33, Nartshuk et al. 1995: 4).

REMARKS: Rondani (1876d: 194) described Loxocera marginata from a single male: “ Unicum exemplar possideo masculum [I have a single male]”. The OUMNH collection contains a male Loxocera marginata erroneously labeled as a “ type ” by Bigot.
