ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1877c: 116 (key), 138 (description).

TYPE LOCALITY: “ in Apennino bononiensi [ Bologna Apennines ( Italy)]” .

TYPE MATERIAL: 2 ♂♂, syntypes (one covered with mold, the other missing the mid-legs) ( MZUF: Box 22): Yetodesia Rond. / solifuga n. / 1174.

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Hebecnema fumosa ( Meigen, 1826) View in CoL ( Pont 1986b: 160, Gorodkov et al. 1995: 14).

REMARKS: Rondani (1877c: 138) described Yetodesia solifuga from a few males giving a single measurement of length: “ Mares aliquos tantum inventos [Found only some males]”. We found two syntypes in this study.
