ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1871a: 319.
TYPE LOCALITY: “ in Pedemontio [Piedmont ( Italy)]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, syntype ( MRSN): 6.64 / 182 / Yetodesia Rond. / vivida Rond., Alpi .
CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Phaonia vivida View in CoL ( Pont 1986b: 133, Gorodkov et al. 1995: 13).
REMARKS: Rondani (1871a: 319) described Yetodesia vivida from just the male sex without specifying either the number or the length of the specimens: “ Mares aliquos … observavi … lectos a Prof. Bellardi [I observed some males … collected by Prof. Bellardi]”. We found just one syntype in this study.
