ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1866a: 95 (key), 103 (description).

TYPE LOCALITY: “ in montuosis agri parmensis [ Parmese mountains ( Italy)]” .

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, syntype (missing right fore-leg), 1 ♀, syntype ( MZUF: Box 23): Yetodesia Rnd. / boleticola Rnd. / 1189 .

CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Phaonia boleticola View in CoL ( Pont 1986b: 119, Gorodkov et al. 1995: 12).

REMARKS: Rondani (1866a: 103) described both sexes of Yetodesia boleticola without specifying the exact number of specimens and not giving a range of lengths. We found two syntypes in this study.
