ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1866a: 94 (key), 101 (description).
TYPE LOCALITY: “ in collibus agri parmensis [ Parmese hills ( Italy)]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: not found in this study.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Phaonia mystica ( Meigen, 1826) View in CoL ( Pont 1986b: 126, Gorodkov et al. 1995: 12).
REMARKS: Rondani (1866a: 101) described Yetodesia diluta without specifying the number , the sex or the length of the specimens. We could not locate any type specimens of this nominal species during our study.
