TYPE LOCALITY: “ in Pedemontio [Piedmont ( Italy)]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, syntype ( MRSN): 178 / Yetodesia Rond. alpina Rond., Alpi ; 1 ♂, syntype ( MRSN): Yetodesia Rond. alpina Rond., Alpi.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Phaonia angelicae ( Scopoli, 1763) View in CoL ( Pont 1986b: 117, Gorodkov et al. 1995: 12).
REMARKS: Rondani (1871a: 320) described Yetodesia alpina from just the male sex without specifying either the number or the length of the specimens: “ Mares aliquos legit … Prof. Bellardi [Prof. Bellardi collected some males]”. We found two syntypes in this study.
