ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1868c: 235 (key), 241 (description).

TYPE LOCALITY: “ in montuosis agri parmensis [ Parmese mountains ( Italy)]” .

TYPE MATERIAL: 3 ♀♀, syntypes (one missing right fore-leg) ( MZUF: Box 29): Sapromyza Fall. / trispina Rndn., Gall., Apenn. [= Apennines] / 1548.

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Minettia tubifer ( Meigen, 1826) View in CoL ( Papp 1984a: 202, Nartshuk et al. 1995: 5).

REMARKS: Rondani (1868c: 241) described Sapromyza trispina without specifying the number , the sex or the length of the specimens. We found three syntypes in this study.
