ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1875c: 421.
TYPE LOCALITY: “ Insula Bonae Fortunae (Borneo) , Provincia Sarawak [ Bona Fortuna Island , Sarawak Province, Borneo]” .
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, holotype ( MSNG): Borneo, Sarawak 1865/66, coll. Doria / Typus / orientalis Rond. / Eristalomya orientalis n. 2.
CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Keda conclusa (Walker, 1859) ( Knutson et al. 1975: 354) View in CoL .
REMARKS: Rondani (1875c: 421) described Eristalomya orientalis from just the female sex, without specifying the exact number of specimens and not giving a range of lengths, from material collected by G. Doria and O. Beccari. Guiglia (1957: 195) and Raineri & Rey (1996: 53) reported the holotype (♀) in the MSNG.
