ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1880: 24 (key), 41 (description).

TYPE LOCALITY: “ prope Parmam [near Parma (Italy) ]”.

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, syntype (missing left wing) ( MZUF: Box 37): Limosina Macq. / albipennis Rnd. / 1957 / ferruginata Stenh., dr. Villeneuve det.

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Coproica vagans (Haliday, 1833) View in CoL ( Papp 1984d: 82, Roháček et al. 2001a: 142).

REMARKS: Rondani (1880: 41) described Limosina albipennis without specifying either the number or the sex of the specimens, but giving a single measurement of length. We found one syntype in this study.
