CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Psilota anthracina ( Meigen, 1822) View in CoL ( Peck 1988: 176, Belcari et al. 1995a: 17, Smit & Vujić 2008: 348).

REMARKS: Rondani (1857: 174) described both sexes of Psilota conjugata without specifying the exact number of specimens and not giving a range of lengths, but presumably from more than one specimen because he indicated: “ non raro [not rare]”. We found ten syntypes in this study.
