ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1865c: 209.

TYPE LOCALITY: “ in colle subapennino [sub-Apennine hill ( Italy)]” .

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, syntype ( MZUF: Box 13): Thrycolyga [sic!] Rndn. / minima Rnd. / 671.

CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Exorista (Tricoliga) nova (Rondani, 1859) ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 124) .

REMARKS: Rondani (1865c: 209) described Tricholyga minima from just the female sex, without specifying either the number or the length of the specimens, under the generic name “ Tricholyga ”, which is an “incorrect original spelling of Tricoliga Rondani, 1856 ” ( O’Hara et al. 2011: 180). We found one syntype in this study.
