ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1868a: 46.

TYPE LOCALITY: “ in collibus agri parmensis [ Parmese hills ( Italy)]” .

TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, syntype (missing left hind-leg) ( MZUF: Box 17): 898 / Graphogaster Rnd. / vestitus Rnd .

CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Graphogaster vestita ( Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 325, Pape et al. 1995: 26, Cerretti 2010: 369, O’Hara et al. 2020: 667).

REMARKS: Rondani (1868a: 46) described Graphogaster vestitus from just the male sex, without specifying either the number or the length of the specimens: “ Rarissimo mas lectus [The male collected rarely]”. We found one syntype in this study.
