Celtis kraussiana Bernh. View in CoL in Krauss (1845: 87).
Type: — AFRICA. South Africa, 1842, fl., C.F.F. Krauss 1776 (lectotype, designated here, G barcode 00164451!; isolectotypes FI barcode 011714!, MPU barcode 017374!, TUB barcode 000008!, TUB barcode 000009!) .
Nomenclatural notes: —When describing C. kraussiana, Bernhard (in Krauss 1845) cited Krauss 1776 without indicating the herbarium in which specimens were conserved. Considering that Krauss (1845) did not specify a holotype, we designate the specimen in Herb. G with barcode 00164451 as the lectotype (ICN Art. 9.3), because this material was analyzed by Krauss and because it has the same characteristics mentioned in the protologue.
Taxonomic notes: —Synonym of C. toka ( Sattarian et al. 2006) .
