Celtis toka (Forssk.) Hepper & Wood (1983: 86) View in CoL .
Basionym:— Ficus toka Forsskål (1775: 219) .
Type: —AFRICA. Cameroun, Km 27 of road Garoua-Rey Bouba , E. of Pitowa, N. of Mayo Xébi, a tributary of the Bénoué R. Alt. 200 m, Open woodland, 28 January 1966, fl., A.J.M. Leeuwenberg 7603 (neotype, designated here, WAG barcode 1856217!; isoneotypes P barcode 00551067!, P barcode 00253583!, WAG barcode 1856218!, L barcode 1585168!) .
Nomenclatural notes: —Since Forsskål (1775) and Hepper & Wood (1983) did not designate a type and no original material has been traced, we designate the specimen at Herb. WAG with barcode 1856217 as neotype of the name C. toka (ICN Art. 9.8). We choose this material, because the specimen has leaves, and leaf characters were solely used by Forsskål (1775) to describe the species.
Taxonomic notes: —Accepted species ( Sattarian et al. 2006).
