Guatemala, Totonicapam 8000 to 10,000 ft., Cerro Zunil 5000 ft. (Champion). More than one Ƌ .

Lectotype Ƌ (designated by Hubbell, 1977: 296) with labels: “Totonicapam, 8-10,000ft., Champion” [printed on white paper]; “ Phoberopus championi P. et Sss” [handwritten on green paper]; “ Holotypus ” [printed on red card]. Specimen lacks the left front leg. Box O9.
