Type material. Lectotype, female: Kenya, Londiani , 1953, JCM Gardner . Allotype, male: same data as holotype.

Diagnosis, female. Length 2.8 mm, 2.0 × as long as wide; scapus with a long dorsal spike; pronotum 0.9 × as long as wide; elytral interstria 1–6 and 9 with at least three confused rows of erect bristle-like setae; protibiae with four apical denticles. Male similar to female, except scapus small and rounded with small tuft of setae short setae.

Similar to L. podocarpi and L. xylographus , but stouter, especially the pronotum, and the dorsal spike on the female scapus is longer.

Distribution. Kenya.

Biology. Breeds under bark of Olea trunks.
