scientific name

Nerine undulata (L.) Herb.
status

Amaryllis undulata Linnaeus View in CoL , Systema Naturae, ed. 12, 2: 237. 1767.

"Habitat - - –” RCN: 2336.

Type not designated.

Original material: Herb. Linn. No. 137.11 ( S) ; Herb. Linn. No. 416.6 ( LINN) .

Current name: Nerine undulata (L.) Herb. View in CoL View at ENA ( Liliaceae / Amaryllidaceae ).

Note: See Fuchs (in Acta Bot. Neerl. 11: 76. 1962), who appears to argue that Linnaeus had no material of this when he published the name, but that as the description came from David van Royen, an illustration of the plant from Leiden, published later by Meerburg, should be an isotype.
