TYPE LOCALITY: U.S.A., St. Lawrence Isl., Sevoonga, 2 mi. E. North cape .

DISTRIBUTION: Known only from St. Lawrence Isl. (Bering Sea).

COMMENT: Separated from cinereus by Junge and Hoffmann, 1981:36. Placed in arcticus species group by Hall and Gilmore, 1932, Univ. Calif. Publ. Zool., 38: 392; in cinereus species group by Hoffmann and Peterson, 1967, Syst. Zool., 16:127- 136.
