Type:—LESSER ANTILLES. Guadeloupe: ad Parnassum supra corticem Coffea arabicae , 600–700 m, P. Duss 515 (TUR-Vain. 27368!) .
Thallus corticolous, whitish to whitish gray, continuous, smooth to wrinkled, slightly glossy. Lirellae erumpent with a ± thick lateral thalline margin, elongate, straight, curved or sinuate, unbranched or irregularly branched, labia convergent, entire, black, not pruinose, disc concealed ( dussii -morph). Exciple laterally carbonized; hymenium clear; ascospores 8/ascus, hyaline, becoming brownish with age, transversely 15–23-septate, 70–105 × 8–10 μm.
Chemistry: norstictic acid.
Distribution and habitat:—This obviously very rare species was not present in our material, but it was reported from Thailand, Chiang Mai province by Aptroot et al. (2007).
Remarks:—Morphologically and chemically very similar is Graphis hiascens (Fée) Nyl. , but this species is easily separated in having larger, up to 150 μm long, muriform ascospores.
