Type:— BRAZIL. Santa Catarina state: Serra Geral, corticola ad truncos Myrtacearum , Ule 278 (G!, holotype) .

Thallus corticolous, off-white, whitish or bluish white, continuous, smooth to uneven, corticate, glossy. Lirellae erumpent, with a thick lateral thalline margin, elongate, straight or curved to sinuous, sparsely, irregularly branched, labia convergent, striate, not pruinose, disc concealed, (tenella- morph). Exciple completely carbonized; hymenium clear; ascospores 1/ascus, hyaline, densely muriform, 85–120 × 25–30 μm; 120–160 × 30–40 μm ( Lücking et al. 2008); ca. 150 × 42 μm (protologue).

Chemistry: no lichen substances by TLC (anal. J. Sutjaritturakan).

Distribution and habitat:—Reported from Brazil (type locality) and Costa Rica ( Lücking et al. 2008), this is the first report from Thailand where it was growing on bark in a rainforest near a waterfall at 140 m.

Remarks:—Although the spore dimensions of our collection are at the lower end of the range given in the literature, all other characters, including the habitus photograph, accord perfectly with those in Lücking et al. (2008).

Material from Thailand examined:— Songkhla province: Rattapum district, in the area of Boripat Waterfall , at level 1, 140 m, 06°59’43’’ N, 100°09’02’’ E, 26 May 2012, J. Sutjaritturakan 4516 & Jareansri, (hb. K. & J. Kalb 42335) .
