Heterotypic synonyms: Angraecum ealaense De Wildeman (1916: 185) . Cyrtorchis ealaensis (De Wild.) Schlechter (1918: 130) . Type:— DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO. Eala, 9 September 1905, M.Laurent 1784 (holotype BR!, isotype K!).

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO. Equateur, Basankusu, Ndeke , 23 September 1958, Evrard 4887 (K) . UGANDA. Entebbe , 1,189 m, 9 August 1906, Brown 383 (K) ; Old Entebbe road, Nkosanyi , 1189 m, April 1962, s. coll. s. n. (K) . TANZANIA. Mwembeni, Nadanga, Pangani , 30 m, 29 September 1956, Tannes 3129 (K) .

Distribution:— According to Govaerts et al. (2016), Cyrtorchis injoloensis occurs in four countries ( Gabon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda and Tanzania), although we have not seen any material from Uganda. Cyrtorchis injoloensis is thus widely distributed in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Habitat and ecology:— Primary forest and forest remnants, ranging between 30 and 1,189 m elevation. Flowering peaks in July and September.
