Endrődi (1966) could not find the type material of this species, but he did not designate a neotype.

Remarks.

Endrődi (1966, 1985a) considered C. ovulum Bates to be an “aberration” of C. testacea and reported these species' label data together for nearly all specimens. The distribution data for C. testacea in South America will need to be further evaluated.
