Remarks

Previously this species has been reported from Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, living on a muddy substrate in an artificial pond ( Smith and Kamiya 2007), and from Lake Biwa, irrigation ponds and lotus fields (as Fabaeformiscandona cf. subvomerina; Okubo, 2004). During this study it was recovered from Lake Biwa at depths ranging from 4.2 to 50 m on a variety of substrates. Localities 35, 37, 50, 52, 53, 54, 62, 66, 70, 86 and 91 in Figure 1 View Figure 1 .
