Spectrarcturus toporoki ( Kussakin, 1972) comb. nov.

Material examined: Paratype female, ZIN RAS cat. no. 2/49344, Kobjakova R / V “Toporok”, station 46, 6 September 1948, South Kurile Islands , Ituruo Island .

Diagnosis: Body with numerous large and small, robust, bluntly pointed spines; pereonite 4 0.18 times body length; evenly wide, sligthly longer than second and third together; pleotelson short, with several short spines, posterior margin rounded. All pleonites fused into pleotelson, only one pleonite visible. Antennula short, reaching little beyond distal end of second peduncular segment of antenna. Antenna considerably shorter than body; short, robust. Spines on basis of pereopods 5 to 7. Oostegites present on pereopod 5, as small lobes. Male penis lanceolate, tapering evenly towards rounded distal end; appendix masculina long, distally curved, extending one-third of length beyond exopod.

Distribution: Kurile Islands, at depths between 5 and 60 m ( Kussakin 1972, 1982).
