Epicauta suturalis Dvořák, 2008: 5 .

Current status. Valid species. The name is a junior homonym of Epicauta suturalis (Germar, 1821) from Brasil. Due to the inaccessibility of the type, and thus the impossibility of the revision of the species identity, we do not propose a new name for it.

Remark. The species was described based on female holotype (‘ China, SE Yunnan, Malipo Co., Tiechang env., 1500 m /M, 23°20´-25´N, 104°58´- 105°05´E, 27-30.vii.1996, L. & R. Businsky lgt.’) assigned to Dvořák’s collection in the NMPC. The description was published after moving of Dvořák’s collection to NMPC and we were not able to trace the respective specimen.
