Two syntypes are deposited in NMPC (general collection).

SYNTYPES (2 unsexed specimens): ‘ Angora / DrEscherich 1895 [p] // galatiensis / cotypus Esch [hw]’.

Current status. Junior subjective synonym of Hycleus fuscus (A. G. Olivier, 1811) , see BOLOGNA (2008).
