Distribution in Iran. Alborz, Hamadan, Hormozgan, Kermanshah, Kordestan, Lorestan, West Azarbaijan ( Hoberlandt 1997), Ardabil, Golestan ( Linnavuori 2008), East Azarbaijan ( Hoberlandt 1997; Ghahari et al. 2011a), Guilan ( Hoberlandt 1997; Linnavuori 2008), Khorasan ( Hoberlandt 1997; Linnavuori 2008; Modarres Awal 2008), Mazandaran ( Wagner 1968), Tehran ( Brown 1966; Hoberlandt 1997; Linnavuori 2008), Iran (no locality cited) ( Oshanin 1906, 1912; Safavi 1959; Modarres Awal 1997b; Göllner-Scheiding 2006b).

General distribution. Euro Mediterranean (extending to Germany, Belgium and Ukraine), Egypt, Near East, Caucasus, Central Asia extending to China.

Host plants. Found in or near cotton fields ( Ghahari et al. 2011a), on Centaurea sp. ( Asteraceae ) and Sanguisorba sp. ( Rosaceae ) ( Linnavuori 2008).
