Distribution in Iran. East Azarbaijan ( Khaghaninia et al. 2010a, 2011), Fars (Linnavuori 2012), Golestan ( Safavi 1959; Wagner 1968; Modarres Awal 1997b), Kerman ( Hoberlandt 1955, as Trigonosoma fisheri ), Khorasan ( Modarres Awal 1996a, 1997b; Nateq Golestan & Modarres Awal 2012), Kordestan ( Wagner 1961), Tehran ( Safavi 1959; Brown 1966; Hoberlandt 1955, as Trigonosoma fisheri ; Modarres Awal 1997b), West Azarbaijan (Nateq Golestan, 2004; Nateq Golestan et al. 2004, 2010a, b, c, 2011), Iran (no locality cited) ( Rider 2006; Péricart 2010).
General distribution. Europe ( France ( Corsica), Portugal), Egypt (Sinai), Near East, Caucasus, Central Asia, Sudan ( Rider 2006), Turkey (Dursun & Fent 2013).
Host plants. Under Astragalus sp. ( Fabaceae ) ( Khaghaninia et al. 2010a, 2011; Nateq Golestan et al. 2011), on Cichorium sp. ( Asteraceae ) ( Nateq Golestan et al. 2011), Bunium persicum ( Apiaceae ) ( Nateq Golestan & Modarres Awal 2012), Triticum sp. ( Poaceae ) ( Modarres Awal 1996a, 1997b); also lives and feeds upon several Fabaceae ( Camelina sp. , Sterigmostemum sp. , Trigonella sp. ) and on Asteraceae , Poaceae and Zygophyllaceae ( Péricart 2010) .
