Distribution in Iran. East Azarbaijan ( Modarres Awal 1997b; Khalilzadeh et al. 2007; Hassanzadeh et al. 2009a, b; Gharaat et al. 2009; Khaghaninia et al. 2010a, b; Havaskary et al. 2012; Khaghaninia et al. 2013), Golestan ( Hoberlandt 1997; Linnavuori 2008), Khorasan ( Modarres Awal 1996a, 1997b; Linnavuori 2008), Mazandaran ( Wagner 1968; Sakenin et al. 2008), Semnan ( Kiritshenko 1949), Tehran ( Linnavuori 2008), Zanjan ( Askari et al. 2009), Iran (no locality cited) ( Rider 2006).
General distribution. Palearctic except Great Britain and Scandinavia.
Host plants. On Poaceae ( Khalilzadeh et al. 2007; Linnavuori 2008; Derjanschi & Péricart 2005), Amaranthus retroflexus ( Amaranthaceae ) (Sakenin et al. 2008).
