General distribution. Euro-Siberian.

Host plants. On wild Poaceae ( Farahbakhsh 1961; Modarres Awal 1997b; Khalilzadeh et al. 2007; Modarres Awal 2008, Askari et al. 2009; Hassanzadeh et al. 2009a; Khaghaninia et al. 2010a, b, 2011), barley ( Farahbakhsh 1961; Modarres Awal 1997b), wheat ( Farahbakhsh 1961; Modarres Awal 1996a, 1997b; Khanjani 2006; Hassanzadeh et al. 2009b), Pyrethrum sp. ( Asteraceae ) ( Nateq Golestan & Modarres Awal 2012); it is a plague for cultivated cereals.
