Distribution in Iran. Tehran ( Hoberlandt 1997; Linnavuori 2012), Iran (no locality cited) ( Derjanschi & Péricart 2005; Rider 2006, as S. modestus (partim )).

General distribution. Endemic to Iran.

Host plants. Growth of Tamarix spp. ( Tamaricaceae ) with an abundant undergrowth of grass and various other plants (Linnavuori 2012).
