Treatment

Sciocoris macrocephalus Fieber, 1851: 443 ; Sciocoris basalis Fieber, 1851: 447 ; Sciocoris europaeus Amyot & Serville, 1862: 375 ; Sciocoris conspurcatus Mulsant & Rey, 1866: 92 (non Klug, 1845).

Distribution in Iran. Kermanshah ( Sakenin et al. 2010; Samin et al. 2011a), Tehran ( Linnavuori 2008), Iran (no locality cited) ( Aukema et al. 2013).

General distribution. Euro-Siberian extending to China and Mongolia .

Host plants. Sciocoris macrocephlus has been collected on Achillea sp. , Matricaria sp. (both Asteraceae ), Salvia sp. ( Lamiaceae ), several Fabaceae ( Derjanschi & Péricart 2005) , and on Scabiosa sp. , Knautia sp. (both Dipsacaceae ) in France ( Dusoulier & Lupoli 2006).
