Diagnosis. The species is characterized by its thick-ovate gonostylus with an apical tooth arising from an indistinct dorsal lobe, two to three flagellate setae on the inner side of the gonostylus; gonocoxite with conical intercoxal lobe bearing about 10 setae; tegmen pyramidal, parameral apodeme continuously sclerotized, forming a central strip on dorsal side and a finger-like process at the apex; ventral inner side of gonocoxite with long setae; maxillary palps 3-segmented, basal segment with 1 long seta ( Rudzinski, 2006).

Distribution. China (Fujian, Yunnan, Tibet, Shaanxi, Taiwan; Fig. 16 View FIGURE 16 ) ( Rudzinski, 2006).

Remarks. This species was first described from Taiwan and found distributed widely in south China. All the continental specimens match the diagnostic characteristics but slight difference is found in the body size: wing length = 2.10 mm in the type specimen, whereas 1.78 mm in the male from Fujian, and 2.93 mm in the specimen from Yunnan.
