Diagnosis. Antennal flagellum yellow. Wing grayish yellow, with costal border opposite stigma bulged and broken. Tergites of abdomen orange with lateral margin blackish; sternites orange-brown. Outer gonostylus with conspicuous spine, inner lobe broad; inner gonostylus medially with a hook.

Description. Male. Body length 34.0 mm, wing 23.0 mm.

Head. Brown. Rostrum reddish brown, with dark brown nasus. Vertex reddish brown, occiput yellowish brown. Vertical tubercle reddish brown, tip dark yellow. Orbit pale brown. Hairs on head blackish brown. Antenna 5.5 mm long; scape brown; pedicel reddish brown; flagellum segments yellow, with black verticils. Probocis dark reddish brown; palpus brown, hairs short, brown.

Thorax. Ground color brown. Pronotum yellow with center light reddish brown; prescutum dark yellowish brown with four pale yellowish brown longitudinal stripes; scutum pale yellowish brown with lateral margin brown; scutellum brown; mediotergite brown with posterior margin yellow; pleura brown, with a broad yellow strip between paratergite and anepimeron, pleurotergal tubercle yellowish brown, with silvery pubescence on dorsal surface. Setae on thorax yellow. Coxae and trochanters brown; femora brownish yellow, tips blackish brown; tibiae brownish yellow with tip narrowly brown; tarsi yellowish brown; tibial spurs 1–1– 2. Setae on coxae and trochanters brown, on other segments of legs blackish. Wing ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 4 ) grayish yellow with costal region opposite stigma bulged and broken. Cell sc yellow. Stigma brownish yellow. A brownish spot at origin of Rs; area from stigma to cell dm along cord dark grayish yellow, surrounded by light yellowish suffusion. Veins yellow. Halter with stem brown, knob blackish brown.

Abdomen. Ground color orange. Dorsum orange with lateral margin blackish, outer lateral angles and posterior margin yellowish. Venter orange-brown.

Hypopygium ( Figs. 13–16 View FIGURES 13 – 16 ). Tergite 9 ( Fig. 14 View FIGURES 13 – 16 ) caudal margin with deep U-shaped emargination, margined with dense brush-like setae, medially with blade-like lobes. Sternite 9 ventrally with big yellowish brown knob; outer gonostylus ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 13 – 16 ) broad, with tip obtuse, caudal margin serrate, bulged at cephalic margin, outer spine of outer gonostylus large and conspicuous, posteromedially with another small process at back; inner gonostylus ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 13 – 16 ) deeply caved on outer surface, medially with a small hook. Setae on gonostylus yellow.

Female. Unknown.

Type material. Holotype male, Sichuan: Meigu, Wahou (1900 m), 2008. VII. 16, Jinjing Wang. Distribution. China (Sichuan).

Remarks. This new species is similar to B. jinpingensis Liu & Yang, 2009 in having orange abdomen. It

can be easily separated from B. jinpingensis by the color of the prescutum and structure of the hypopygium. In

B. jinpingensis , the prescutum is reddish brown, and the outer gonostylus has no lateral spine. Etymology. The species name is based on the yellow antenna.
