Type material of Nigorella hunanensis . Holotype ♂ and paratype ♂, China, Hunan Province, Yizhang County, 20.VII.1989, Yongjin Zhang leg. ; Paratype ♂, China, Hunan Province, Lin County, 30.VI.1983, Changmin Yin leg. Type specimen deposited in Hunan Biology Research Institute, not examined .

Diagnosis. See Zha and Zhang (2014).

Redescription. Male (holotype): Measurements see Song and Chai (1992).

Coloration ( Figs 12A, B View FIGURE 12 ): Carapace brown, yellow-brown medially, black rings around eyes. Clypeus brown with sparse hairs. Fovea longitudinal. Embolus stout, compound terminal apophysis behind embolus, connected to embolus with membrane.

Female. See Zha and Zhang (2014).

Distribution. China (Hubei, Hunan).

Comments. The type material of Nigorella hirticeps was examined, and based on the clear figures in Peng et al. (1993: figs 12–15), no difference between N. hirticeps and N. hunanensis was observed. Thus, we restore the synonymy of N. hunanensis with N. hirticeps .
