Description – Measurements (in mm, n = 4): EW = 0.59 (0.51–0.61); TW = 0.57 (0.54– 0.59); PW = 0.65 (0.63–0.68); SW = 0.70 (0.68–0.73); AW = 0.77 (0.74–0.80); HL = 0.37 (0.36– 0.38); EL = 0.135 (0.13–0.14); TL = 0.11 (0.10–0.12); PL = 0.44 (0.43–0.45); SL = 0.62 (0.60–0.66); SC = 0.57 (0.55–0.61); FB = 1.48 (1.42–1.55); BL = 2.84 (2.51–3.11). Habitus as in Fig. 102 View Figs 102–104 . Headslightlyreddishdarkbrown, pronotumreddishmediumbrown, elytraandabdomenmoreorlessmediumbrown. Legs, mouthpartsandantennaemediumtolightbrown. Impressedlineslaterallyborderingclypeusblackish, apicesofmandiblesoftendarker, infuscate. Head transversewithrounded, slightlybulgingtemplesnotaswideaseyes. Clypeusappearsalmostimpunctate (fewtinypuncturesanteriorly), withathinanterior rimalsoonsides, almostnotracesofmicrosculpture, smoothandshiny. Epistomalsuture straight, roughlyonimaginarylineconnectingsupraantennalprominences. Medialpor- tionofoccipitalgroovealmoststraight (inconspicuouslyarchinganteriorly), neckwith coriaceousmicrosculpture (isodiametriccells). Vertexshinywithoutanypunctures, only slighttracesofthem), almosttotallyshiny; afewsmallerpuncturesonlateralpartsand templesaroundpostocularridge. Faintlongitudinalimpressionsrunningonbothsides ofvertexfromepistomalsuturetooccipitalgroove, becomingrathermarkedposterior- ly. Headsurfaceotherwiseshiny, withoutmicrosculpture. Pronotum withcomplete, thin marginalbead. Surfaceshiny, withoutanymicrosculpturebutwithsomepunctures, very shallowandscattered. Sometimespuncturesmoreapparentanddistinctintheimpressed areas. Longitudinalmidlinemarkedinposterior 1/2. Onbothsidesofmidlinemiddleof discstronglyimpressedtotheanterior 2/5 ofsides. Elytra withdiscalmostflat, twovery thinandshallowlongitudinalimpressionsalongsuturebehindscutellum, anteriorhalfof discverygentlyimpressedinmiddle. Epipleuralridgepresentonalmostentirelength. Thinmarginalbeadwithobscureconnectiontoepipleuralridgecontinuingalongposte- riormargin, notreachingsuturalcorner, slightlycurvinganteriorlybeforeit. Alongsuture veryfinemarginalbeadonlyconspicuousbecauseofdarkercolour. Elytralpunctation similartomorepunctatepartsofpronotum, somewhatmoredense, stillquiteshallow, moreorlessequallyspaced (interspacesabout 2× puncturediameters) andobscuredby surfaceunevenness. Abdomen shinyandsmoothwithonlytinyinsertionpointsofsetae andnotracesofmicrosculpture. Remarks – Thespecieshasconspicuouslysmalleyesandwidetemples, andalthoughthesefeaturesappeartoberathervariable, nootherOriental congenersharestheminthissizerange.
