Cheumatopsyche mendolonga Oláh & Johanson , new species

Fig. 79–82

This species resembles C. kim , new species from Vietnam, but the setaless mesocaudal lobe on segment X is short and the apicoventral lobes are both armed with a subapical mesal wart visible in dorsal view. The harpagones are short, tapering abruptly from their mid-lengths, with a slightly bilobed apex easily seen in ventrolateral view. The dorsocaudal spiny lobes are much more developed. In dorsal view the apicoventral lobes are particularly similar to those in C. chimaira Malicky from Brunei, but segment X is not as broad, and the harpagones are more complex.

Male. Body and wings pale light brown. Maxillary palp segment I shortest, segment II longer, segments III and IV equally long, segment V as long as segments I–IV together. Head dorsum darker brown, with 7 lighter warts. Swollen setal wart absent on proepisternum. Protarsal claws asymmetrical, laterally flanked by setal bundles. Forewing length 6.8 mm, hind wing length 5.2 mm. Hind wing fork I absent.

Male genitalia. Segment IX fused annularly; tergum longer than sternum ( Fig. 79); anterior margins of segment IX strongly convex; apical lobe on posterolateral margins almost right-angled, expanding dorsad, located above base of coxopodites ( Fig. 79); spine row on posterior margins of segment IX continuous on straight posterolateral margin of apical lobes; spines on dorsocaudal lobes twice as long as others, spines row interrupted between apical lobes and dorsocaudal lobes ( Fig. 79). Intersegmental step between segment IX and segment X deep, right-angled. Segment X nearly quadrangular in lateral and dorsal view ( Fig. 79, 80), without apicoventral lobes, clearly trilobed in dorsal view ( Fig. 80). Apex of setaless mesocaudal lobe short, rounded in dorsal view ( Fig. 80). Apicoventral setal lobes curving dorsad at mid-length in lateral view ( Fig. 79). Lateral setose areas forming pair of small, elevated warts clearly visible in lateral and dorsal view ( Fig. 79, 80). Transverse and longitudinal sutures well developed, meeting points Y-shaped. Coxopodites each extending well beyond apex of segment X, straight, with dilating bases and apices; in ventral view ( Fig. 81) undulating, slightly curving mesad. Harpagones short in lateral view ( Fig. 79); curving mesad, tapering from mid-length; with minute mesal process in ventral view ( Fig. 81). Phallotheca ( Fig. 82) with straight dorsum; sclerotised endothecal process short, rounded; phallotremal sclerites broad, oriented vertically in lateral view; less sclerotised, long, subapical, ventral keel present.
