This species is similar to C. bidikala , but the dorsal interlobular gap is slightly deeper and the phallotheca is less constricted at mid-length in lateral view. Furthermore, segment IX has shorter apical lobes and more gently convex anterior margins; segment X is wider in dorsal view, and the harpagones have less broad bases.

Male. Body and wings brown with brown pubescence; wings with no spots or pattern. Maxillary palp segment I shortest, segment II longer, segments III and IV equally long, segment V as long as sum of segments I– IV. Head dorsum brown with 12 similarly coloured warts. Antennae 1.2 times longer than forewings. Proepisternum without swollen setal wart. Protarsal claws asymmetrical, laterally flanked by setal bundle. Each protibiae with 2 spurs. Forewing length 11.0 mm, hind wing length 7.0 mm. Distance between forewing crossveins m-cu and cu equal to length of crossvein m-cu. Hind wing fork I present.

Male genitalia. Segment IX fused annularly, quite short; sternum longer than tergum ( Fig. 293); anterior margins of segment IX convex, rounded at mid-height ( Fig. 293); apical lobe on posterolateral margins long, nearly triangular, located above articulation cavity of coxopodites; spine row on posterior margins of segment IX interrupted at segment X; spines on dorsocaudal spiny lobes curving, about 2x longer than straight spines on apical lobe. Intersegmental step between segment IX and segment X occupied by pair of setose protuberances. Segment X long, with dorsad curving, drop-shaped, apex in lateral view ( Fig. 293); simple, tongueshaped in dorsal view ( Fig. 294); ventral margin convex ( Fig. 293). Apicoventral setal lobes fused with and dominating distal part of segment X. Setaless mesocaudal lobe reduced. Dorsal interlobular gap narrow, deep. Apex of apicoventral setal lobes rhomboid in dorsal view ( Fig. 294); separated by deep dorsal interlobular gap. Pair of setose areas forming pair of small protuberances basally on segment X ( Fig. 293, 294). Transverse sutures not visible. Longitudinal sutures running parallel with ventral margin of segment X. Lateral setose areas forming pair of elevated, vertically elongating, warts, located near mid-length of segment X. Coxopodites exceeding apex of segment X; broad at bases in lateral and ventral view ( Fig. 293, 295), narrow at one-quart their lengths before gradually broadening to mid-length; distal half nearly parallel-sided; almost straight in lateral view ( Fig. 293), slightly curving mesad in ventral view ( Fig. 295). Harpagones with slightly broader bases than at distal parts, forming long, slightly dorsad curving, thin, digitate processes ( Fig. 293); nearly straight in ventral view ( Fig. 295). Phallothecal phallobase small ( Fig. 296), straight horizontal shaft nearly parallel-sided, slightly constricted at mid-length; ending in short, subapical ventral broadening in lateral view; sclerotised endothecal process circular, half as wide as shaft; phallotremal sclerites broad, rounded in lateral view.

Holotype male: MADAGASCAR: Ampangalambolosy , Nord ouest R.N. III., Chasse de la vue, 10.ix.1957 [P. Soga] ( MNHN, in alcohol).

Distribution: Madagascar.

Etymology: from the name of the type locality.
