Cheumatopsyche ecsedii Oláh & Johanson , new species

Fig. 317–320

The species is similar to C. lolo , new species but segment X is longer and more slender in lateral view; the light brown forewing membranes have light mottling. The sclerotised endothecal process in the phallus is slightly narrower in lateral view.

Male. Body and wings brown with light pubescence; wings with light mottling. Maxillary palp segment I shortest, segment II longer, segments III and IV equally long, segment V as long as sum of segments I–IV. Head dorsum dark brown, with 7 similarly coloured warts. Pronotal warts bright yellow. Proepisternum without swollen setal wart. Protarsal claws asymmetrical, laterally flanked by setal bundle. Forewing length 5.6 mm, hind wing length 4.5 mm. Forewing crossveins m-cu and cu tangental. Hind wing fork I absent.

Male genitalia. Segment IX fused annularly; tergum about half as long as sternum ( Fig. 317); anterior margins of segment IX uniformly convex ( Fig. 317); apical lobe on posterolateral margins rounded, located immediately above base of coxopodites; spine row on posterior margins of segment IX complete, with long, stiff spines on dorsocaudal spiny lobes. Intersegmental step between segment IX and segment X shallow, sloping; dorsal margin of segment X with small ridge at mid-length in lateral view. Segment X long, nearly triangular, apex blunt in lateral view ( Fig. 317); quadrangular in dorsal view ( Fig. 318). Setaless mesocaudal lobe with straight posteroapical margin in dorsal view ( Fig. 318). Apicoventral setal lobes completely fused with lateral margins of segment X. Pair of lateral setose areas located above apicoventral lobes, forming elevated warts in dorsal view ( Fig. 318). Dorsal and lateral interlobular gaps absent. Transverse sutures running obliquely in dorsal and lateral view ( Fig. 317, 318). Longitudinal sutures meeting transverse sutures, forming horizontal Y anterior of lateral setose areas. Coxopodites clearly exceeding apex of segment X ( Fig. 317), nearly straight, slightly dilated distally. Harpagones almost parallel-sided, sinuate ( Fig. 317), curving mesad in ventral view ( Fig. 319). Phallotheca ( Fig. 320) narrowing shortly after mid-length, broadening ventrad at apex; sclerotised endothecal process long, narrow, straight; phallotremal sclerites broad, circular; vestigial ventral endothecal membranous lobe visible.
