Coccinella variegata Goeze 1777: 247 . Material examined. Total of 147 specimens (133 adults, 10 larvae, 4 pupae) were collected from herbaceous plants, Aloe sp., succulents, L. arborescens , N. oleander , Hibiscus sp., P. granatum and Bougainvillea sp. The species was recorded at 13 study sites: Aeropuerto de Fuerteventura (30.III.2017), Barranco de las Penitas (29.III.2017), Barranco de los Gutierres (25.III.2017), Caleta de Fuste (13.II.2017, 30.III.2017) , Costa Calma (22–23.III.2017, 27.III.2017, 09.VIII.2017), El Cotillo (10.02.2017), El Pinar (05.VIII.2017), La Lajita (13.II.2017, 23.III.2017), La Pared (26.III.2017, 04–05.VIII.2017, 12.VIII.2017), Morro Jable (24.III.2017), Pajara (12.08.2017), Tarajalejo (24. III.2017) and Vega de Rio Palmas (25.III.2017) .
Distribution. The species is widely distributed in the Palaearctic, Afrotropical and Oriental regions, inhabiting all seven Canarian islands ( Eizaguirre 2007; Oromí & Báez 2010).
