Gené / Syntypus Sunius bimaculatus Erichson, 1840 , labelled by MNHUB 2008 / Lectotypus Sunius bimaculatus Erichson , desig. V. Assing 2008 / Astenus bimaculatus (Erichson) View in CoL , det. V. Assing 2008" (MNHUB). Paralectotypes: 2, 1, 1 sex? [abdomen missing]: same data as lectotype (MNHUB).

C o m m e n t: The original description is based on an unspecified number of syntypes from " Sardinia " collected by "Dom. Prof. Gené" ( ERICHSON 1840). Five of them were located in the historical collection at the MNHUB. One of the males is designated as the lectotype.
