Carlschoenherria philippinica ( Brenske, 1894) new combination

Schönherria hispida var. philippinica Brenske, 1894: 27 (original description); Dalla Torre 1912: 286 (checklist); Schultze 1916: 180 (checklist).

Schoenherria philippinica: Itoh 1992: 9 (valid species); Itoh 1993: 6–7 (redescription, key).

Type locality. “ Philippinen ”.

Type material examined. None.

Additional material examined. PHILIPPINES: VISAYAS: Bukidnon: 2♂♂, 3♀♀, Tangcolan ( UNSM) ; MINDANAO: 1♂, V. Samarita ( NMM) ; Surigao : 4♂♂, C. Baker ( UNSM).

Distribution. Brenske (1894) described this species from “ Philippinen ”, later, Itoh (1993) added records from Mindanao and Leyte (Eastern Visayas). The species is newly recorded from the provinces of Bukidnon (Northern Mindanao) and Surigao (North-eastern tip of Mindanao).
